Getting Started:
"Having a professional
inventory could save you

Let me walk you through a
typical home inventory."-

1) You
contact me.
I will
set up an appointment time with
you and answer any questions you
may have. Most times I can give
you an estimate right over the
phone. On occasion I may ask to
visit your home or business
before your scheduled
appointment date to give you a
more accurate quote.
2)
On the day of your Inventory
I will
meet with you at your home where
we can go over details such as
the items you wish to include,
areas you would like me to avoid
etc. When we are comfortable
with the details of your
expectations I will be ready to
start your inventory. My payment
policy is to collect 50% at the
time of the inventory and the
other half on the delivery of
your finished product. I ask
that you be present during the
entire Inventory and I encourage
input at anytime, especially on
important items such as their
age or value.
3)
I start
your inventory
and
work at a fairly rapid pace. I
travel systematically around
each and every room. I'll take
pictures, record serial numbers,
document descriptions and the
condition of the items. You can
direct me as much or as little
as you please.
After
completing the inside of your
home, I'll take a few pictures
of the outside of your home. If
we have agreed to complete an
inventory of a garage or shed, I
will complete them at this time.
4)
I return to my office
to
upload photos and enter the raw
data into our secure software.
During the next few days I will
complete your reports and data
CD. I will then call you to
arrange a time for delivery. At
delivery I spend a few minutes
to go over your reports and
allow you to view your data CD.
I answer any questions you may
have before collecting the
balance due. Please review the
reports for accuracy over the
next two weeks and report any
corrections that need to be
made. After that time I allow
one update per year at no
additional charge. Updates can
be e-mailed or sent by standard
mail.
On
Request:
I will
store a backup CD of your
Inventory for 18 months free of
charge. This CD will be labeled
with your drivers license
number. No other external
identifying information will be
used. If you don't elect to have
The Locksmith
Company store a
backup CD for you, at delivery,
I will ask you to sign for "The
Only" printed copies or
your Inventory and CD data file.
All inventory information is
immediately removed from working
computers and all handwritten
notes shredded.
