Ocala Home Inventory
creates
a detailed
list of your personal property
located in your home for the
purpose of providing proof of
ownership in the case of a loss.
We cover everything in your home
to include furniture,
furnishings, linens, clothing,
jewelry, electronics,
collections, and brick-a-brack.
A
home inventory is extremely
important for insurance
purposes. After a loss, it's the
first thing your insurance
adjuster will ask for. If you
didn't have a current inventory
of your personal property, you
would be asked to create one.
This is not very easy after
everything is gone. When you
make an insurance claim for
damaged, lost, or stolen
property, your insurance company
will require you to list details
such as quantity, description,
make, model, serial numbers,
estimated value etc. . If you
forget some items or fail to
provide an acceptable
description of others, you may
not receive full compensation
for your losses.
Q:
How long
does the inventory take?
A:
Photographing and the physical
inventory will usually take 3-4
hours. We ask that you be
present during the inventory and
you can be involved as little or
as much as you would like. We
may ask you for estimated values
or to get more detailed
information that may impact the
item’s sentimental or actual
value.
Q:
Do you
appraise my property?
A:
No, we are not professional
appraisers or insurance experts.
We provide professional
documentation of contents only.
Our inventories are normally
detailed enough that you may get
an appraisal with the photos and
description we provide.
Q:
Will my
insurance go up if the company
knows what I own?
A:
No, we do not share information
with anyone. We release our
reports directly to you. Once
you know what you own, you can
decide if you are properly
insured.
Q:
Can’t I just do this
myself?
A: Yes you can.
Of course, there are advantages
to having a professional
third
party source complete
your home inventory.

inventory process and are less
likely to miss important details
that can reduce your claim.
2) Our reports are completed in
a format preferred by insurance
companies to avoid delays or
complications. If you would like

Are there any extra or
hidden charges?
A:
No! You
will receive a written quote
before we start your inventory.
You will only pay for services
we agree to. There will never be
"add on" fees or charges unless
you decide to add services to
your written quote. In short,
you pay what you are quoted.

How do I
know my information is secure?
A:
Ocala Home Inventory
is a premium service offered by
The Locksmith
Company.

Accountability and Integrity:
You
will deal directly with the
Owner of the company from start
to finish. Edward Tolp is a
Certified Locksmith and a former
Military Police SWAT Team
Instructor. He specializes in
Home Security.
2)
Our
Process:
Ocala Home Inventory
was designed with
confidentiality and data
security in mind. Your name and
address are never entered into
our working "field" computers.
Your personal information is
entered as our final step just
prior to the working inventory
being cleared from the computer.
Any and all handwritten
materials are immediately
shredded. Two printed copies of
your inventory will be made, you
receive both copies. Your
inventory is stored on a CD or
DVD. Only (1) copy will be made
and you receive
this copy.
You may elect to have us backup
your inventory on CD or DVD as
an option. This disk will be
stored in a fire safe labeled
with only your driver license
number.
Q:
How long
until I have the final copy?
A:
Usually about 1 week is
necessary to compile, organize,
finalize and deliver your
inventory.
Q:
Do I have
to "prepare" my house prior to
the inventory?
A:
No. Nothing special is required
on your part. We are asked
frequently if the house has to
be "cleaned" prior to the
inventory. At Ocala Home
Inventory we understand that
people have busy work schedules
and other priorities that make a
"showroom home" impossible. We
just need room to walk through
the home and areas to be
inventoried.
